Many people believe that busyness or restlessness is synonymous with being happy and productive. Busyness, restlessness or agitation can be a reflection of an internal impatience with one's life. Learning to accept things as they are can help calm one's mind and allow one to notice the aspects of life that are rewarding.
If feelings of anxiousness or boredom arise, take a few minutes to be still and observe your breath. As you breathe, you can mentally say to yourself, "I accept all that is," and allow your thoughts to focus on the things that are important to you and add meaning to your life. You might find that this exercise allows you to see the wonders that are present in your life.
The feeling of being hurried is not usually the result of living a full life and having no time. It is on the contrary born of a vague fear that we are wasting our life. When we do not do the one thing we ought to do, we have no time for anything else- we are the busiest people in the world. Eric Hoffer
Accepting everything that you have created helps you to see that there is excitement in all facets of your life, even those facets that seem mundane. As you use your breath to quiet your mind to remind yourself of your abundance, you gain a realistic perspective about your life. Seeing that not everything is perfect or exciting on the surface makes it easier to search for what is exciting for you on a deeper and more meaningful level. By being aware of what you have, you will understand that your life is complete just the way it is, leaving room for opportunities to shift things which need to be shifted.
